The wgetl.ink Android app exists to upload files you explicitly choose or share into the app and return a direct download URL.
The app accesses files only when you:
When you upload, the app sends the selected file data and the upload settings you choose, such as optional password protection and expiry policy, to https://wgetl.ink.
The app stores only limited local preferences needed for convenience, such as your saved share defaults for password and expiry settings. If multiple files are selected, or a temporary archive is created for upload, that temporary file is stored in the app cache and removed after use.
The service stores uploaded files, file metadata, optional password protection metadata, expiry settings, checksums, and download counts so it can serve direct file URLs and manage expiry and cleanup.
The Android app does not include advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, or account tracking.
After an upload completes, the app can copy the returned URL to your clipboard or share that URL through Android apps you choose, such as email or messaging apps.
